About

Established on February 24, 1978, as a statewide steering committee for California’s APIC chapters, CA APIC represents more than 900 infection preventionists today. The Council maintains strategic relationships with organizations like CALOSHA, CDPH, and the California Hospital Association to provide vital input on state health legislation. CA APIC fulfills its mission through three core functions: providing professional education via programs like the "Foundations" course, facilitating legislative advocacy on issues affecting the scope of infection prevention, and promoting communication among state practitioners while representing their interests to National APIC and regulatory agencies. CA APIC’s aim is to "educate, participate, collaborate, and advocate" on behalf of Infection Preventionists in California, click for more
