An advocate for community strength, Elizabeth believes that a community is only as strong as its weakest link. Her experience as a public health director for her Tribe has shaped her approach to fostering collaboration and support among diverse groups.
Outside of her impactful work, Elizabeth is a proud grandmother of three, aged 3 to 15, and loves to spend quality time with them hiking, camping, and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Central Oregon. She embraces her cultural heritage by participating in events with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, including pow-wows and traditional crafts like basketweaving.
Elizabeth’s go-to karaoke song is "Roar" by Katy Perry, a fitting anthem for her vibrant spirit and commitment to resilience. She believes in the power of focusing on one task at a time, a lesson she learned from an ER doctor during a challenging period in her career.
As she steps into her leadership role, Elizabeth is eager to hear from fellow OSWAPIC members. She invites you to share your thoughts on how the chapter can best support you in promoting patient safety and combating infections.
Let's give a warm welcome to Elizabeth Johnson as she leads with passion and purpose! 💙✨
