  • 1.  Please share what disinfectant(s) your facility is using for C. auris coverage.

    Happy Friday, Fabulous Infection Preventionists!

    We are starting the process of evaluating our hospital disinfectant for effectiveness/coverage for C. auris.  

    I would love to hear from you if you have gone through this process AND if you haven't, please still share your general EVS disinfectant that you use.

    Hello Lori

    A majority of our disinfectants are on EPA's List P. EPA's Registered Antimicrobial Products Effective Against Candida auris [List P] | US EPA. We still have one wipe in house that is not on list p. It is used on our ultrasound equipment. 

    Is there something specific you are looking for?

    Thank you for the information, we are hoping to know more specific about what disinfectant your facility is using for general use and also EVS if uses something different for room cleaning.
