  • 1.  Isolation gowns for COVID+

    Posted 10-06-2023 14:47

Hello - Is your facility requiring gowns as part of the isolation precautions for COVID+ patients in the inpatient hospital setting? If you are not requiring the gown or contact precautions, does that apply to all COVID+ patients regardless of the severity?

    Thank you for any information.

We still require all PPE as advised by the CDC/OHA for care of COVID patients. Gown, gloves, N95 and goggles or face shield (or PAPR/CAPR).

Same for Providence St. Vincent and Seaside. Gown, gloves, N95, and eye protection (CAPR/PAPR can be used instead of N95 and eye protection).

Thank you for the response. Sounds like we are in alignment and following the same guidelines.
