The Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse is assigned to the Office of Patient Care Service, Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, White City, OR. The IP Nurse coordinates infection related health care services for patients and employees and is the responsible party for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the facility Infection Control Program.
The Infection Preventionist (IP) practices as an RN with outpatients, residents, and employees as appropriate at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics. The IP coordinates infection related health care services for patients and employees and is the responsible party for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the facility Infection Control Program. In coordination with Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Health nurse, Safety Officer, and Human Resources staff, the IP assures acceptable standards of care are delivered. The patient population includes, but is not limited to, substance abuse, multiple chronic medical, and psychiatric conditions of all adult ages. Employees are of all adult ages and discipline/professional backgrounds and job roles.
