    Who is doing routine C auris surveillance/screening testing?  Do you just do it for a targeted population, like patients from nursing homes or patients that have had healthcare in another country?

    Connie,

    We have implemented a screening protocol for all admitted patients.  However, we have run into an issue with the state partners for testing that we are currently working through.  However, the questions are cascading ones that the RN must complete on all admitted patients, inpatient and outpatient with observation status.  

    Attached is a tip sheet that was developed for nursing to understand the process.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
