The Washington State Department of Health HAI/AR Section has officially started recruitment for the 2025-2026 IP Champions cohort!
IP Champions is a free, year-long program designed to support novice infection preventionists in local health jurisdictions, acute care, and ambulatory care settings within Washington State. This dynamic opportunity offers community, resources, expert mentorship and professional development. New IPs will be empowered to go confidently into the field and educate, motivate, and advocate for a safer, healthier Washington.

- Program acceptance and additional information will be communicated to all applicants mid-September.
- The program will start the 2nd week of October 2025 and end the 4th week of September 2026.
- Meetings will occur on the 2nd and 4th week of each month.
- Meeting day and time will be determined by the accepted cohort participants with majority ruling.
