Public Policy Committee Responsibilities
The Public Policy Committee Chair monitors legislative and regulatory activities that influence the practice of infection control and epidemiology in a variety of health care settings.
The committee acts as a clearinghouse for APIC MN members to obtain information to legislative and regulatory issues and provides science-based information on infection prevention and control to policy makers.
Rather than a formal Public Policy Committee for APIC MN, the Chair monitors legislative issues that may affect our chapter. Pertinent issues are brought to the Board. A Public Policy Committee is brought together as needed (ad hoc basis).
