Good afternoon,  Our PT Director would like to switch to a type of leg bands that are made from a cloth material.  Is anyone familiar with a cleaning product for something like this?

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Vicki

    Hi Vicky,

When you say leg bands are you referring to resistance bands? There are numerous rubber type options that have approved disinfection IFUs.

For fabrics, in general there are no approved fabric disinfectants so I would recommend a healthcare approved linen facility if they will be multi-patient use.

Another option - I have seen some PT clinics store items in bags for re-use on the same patient (labeled with patient name) when there is no alternative equipment that is safe for cleaning/disinfecting and re-use.
