To celebrate the 25th anniversary of IIPW in 2011, APIC established a new program to encourage greater chapter participation and to promote new and creative ideas for raising public awareness of the week commemorating infection prevention. APIC is happy to announce that the program will continue in 2012.
The 2012 IIPW Chapter Grant Program is open to all APIC chapters that are interested in hosting an infection prevention activity during IIPW or sometime in the month of October.
Chapters will be awarded $2,500 to assist in executing this program. (If your chapter has hosted an APIC-funded IIPW event in the past, you must apply to be considered for another grant in 2012.) A limited number of grants will be awarded.
Click here to access the application and describe the program or activity your chapter would like to organize, how you believe it will help to raise awareness about infection prevention issues in your community, and how you will ensure its success. The more creative you are, the better your chances to be selected. Applications must be approved by the chapter president. The application deadline is April 6.
