Welcome to APIC Grand Canyon!

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) is a multi-disciplinary voluntary international organization. Its purpose is to influence, support and improve the quality of healthcare through the practice and management of infection control and the application of epidemiology in all health settings.

APIC Grand Canyon (APIC GC) was founded in 1982. It is the only APIC chapter in the state of Arizona. With over 170 members, our infection preventionists (IPs) work in various healthcare settings, such as acute care, behavioral health, ambulatory care, and long-term care. Additionally, we have many associate members and industry partners.

Other partners include Arizona Department of Health Services, Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG), Maricopa County Department of Health, and Arizona’s Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Advisory Committee.

Our members are dedicated and passionate about our calling to infection prevention, providing ourselves and our healthcare community with an invaluable collaborative infection prevention resource.

Chapter meetings provide an opportunity to network, exchange evidence-based practices, and participate in educational activities.

APIC GC provides a local presence for APIC, an internationally recognized leader in infection prevention.
