Leslie Kollmann, BS, AAS, CVT, CIC, has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2004 and has specialized in veterinary infection prevention since 2007. She currently works within the Minnesota Department of Health’s Zoonotic Disease Unit, where she consults with veterinary clinics, wildlife rehabilitations, zoos, sanctuaries, and shelters on robust infection control practices. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and an Associate Degree from Argosy University. In 2023, she achieved board certification in infection prevention (CIC).

Dr. Kristen Clark holds her BS in Zoology and DVM from Iowa State University, her MPH from the University of Minnesota, and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. In addition to working in private practice, she previously served as an epidemiologist and the foodborne outbreak response coordinator with the Iowa Department of Public Health. She then served in a number of leadership roles as a public health veterinarian at Iowa State University, including most recently as the University’s Public Health Coordinator where she coordinated campus public health operations. In 2023, she began serving in her current role as the Director of the Minnesota One Health Antibiotic Stewardship Collaborative (MOHASC) with the Minnesota Department of Health.

Melissa Boyd, AAS, CVT, CIC, has been a veterinary technician at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center since 2002. In 2018, she transitioned into veterinary infection prevention and control, earning her board certification in infection control (CIC) in 2024. With over two decades of experience in veterinary medicine, Melissa is passionate about advancing infection prevention practices in veterinary medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, and unwinding with her dog, Violet.
