Should the PAPR belt be under the gown or on the outside of the gown? I am finding contradicting videos and information, just trying to find the most commonly used method so i can try to get staff on the same page. Thanks!

    Hi Mesa,
We have the the PAPR and belt outside of the gown and disinfect both on removal.
Happy to send you our protocol if you wish via your work email.

I think we generally place the belt under the gown based on order of operations. The gown is usually put on after the PAPR when entering a room and the gown is taken off before the gown when exiting the room. It also keeps contamination risk down - especially since the belt can be long on some people.

    That's my advise....Susan
