Why join APIC? 

When you become an APIC member, you join the largest network of infection preventionists committed to patient safety. Becoming a member of national APIC has many benefits, including:

Additionally, members of APIC SEW benefit from the development of local networking relationships that support professional and personal growth. We offer an hour-long educational program at each chapter meeting to include topics relevant to our diverse areas of practice, including an annual holiday luncheon held in December.

How to get started

Chapter membership is added on as part of your national APIC membership. You must purchase a national APIC membership to join the chapter. In order to join APIC, click here. 
Be sure to complete the application, indicating your title and credentials as you wish them to be displayed on the membership list.
To join the chapter, add-on APIC Southeastern Wisconsin when signing up, chapter #30.

You can join us in-person for up to two of our chapter meetings as a guest before committing to a membership. See the chapter calendar for dates and location. When you arrive, please see a board member and let them know you are a guest.

We hope that you will join us at the chapter meetings and participate in the various functions the chapter offers. Are you ready to make a greater impact within the APIC‑SEW chapter?
Each fall, the chapter holds an election to welcome new members to our Board. Serving in a leadership role offers a meaningful opportunity to shape chapter activities and support your professional growth.

Board service provides valuable benefits, including the opportunity to earn IPUs toward CIC recertification and, for select positions, travel support to attend the APIC National Conference.

Watch for election emails each fall and consider nominating yourself or a colleague to help lead and inspire the future of APIC‑SEW.
