Northeastern Infection Control Educators (N.I.C.E)
In 1990, the New Jersey State Department of Health in conjunction with the Northern New Jersey and Southern New Jersey Chapters of APIC set out to design an affordable and locally accessible course and resource materials that would prepare the new Infection Preventionist to perform their duties. Working on this collaborative, they brought in local experts in the various aspects of infection prevention to help develop program content and serve as faculty.
The "Basic Course" is offered twice annually, during the spring and fall. The course attracts participants from across the United States as well as internationally.
NJHA's Health Research and Educational Trust and Northeastern Infection Control Educators (N.I.C.E) are always excited to provide this educational series jointly. Check this website regularly for more information on how to register for the next course.
