The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) is an interdisciplinary nationwide organization dedicated to infection prevention and patient safety.
APIC Northeast Florida Chapter 050 serves Northeast Florida through monthly meetings, regional seminars, and ongoing education. We currently have over 70 diverse members who represent:
- Hospitals
- Rehab centers
- Skilled nursing and long-term care facilities
- Ambulatory care/surgical centers
- Public health
- Correctional facilities
- Medical device companies
Monthly meetings include professional education over lunch, followed by a business meeting and roundtable discussion. During roundtable, best practices, helpful products, job openings, and strategies for complying with requirements from CMS, NHSN, and other regulatory agencies are shared.
