The APIC Wichita Area Chapter has served to bring the APIC vision of “healthcare without infection” to South, Central, and Western Kansas for over 36 years. A recipient of the 2013 APIC Chapter Excellence Award for Synergistic Alliances, the chapter works closely with state and local agencies to provide educational resources and support to its members, so that they may carry out the APIC mission, “to create a safer world through the prevention of infection.”
Our membership consists of IPs in all settings, including both large and small Acute Care, Long Term Care, Ambulatory Care, Behavioral Health, Public Health, and Commercial Services. Meetings are held monthly, excluding June and December; 6 meetings are held face-to-face and 4 are teleconferences.
