Our Mission

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc., Northeastern NY Chapter is a multi-disciplinary voluntary organization and a member of the national APIC organization: http://apic.org. Our purpose is to influence, support and improve the quality of health care through the practice and management of infection control and prevention as well as the application of epidemiology in all health settings. APIC NENY is committed to improving patient care, preventing adverse outcomes and minimizing occupational hazards associated with the delivery of health care.

APIC's mission is to improve patient health and safety by reducing risks of infection and other adverse outcomes. APIC advances its mission through education, research, consultation, collaboration, public policy, practice guidance and credentialing.

Our Vision

The APIC Northeastern NY chapter vision is to be the leader, key resource and advocate in the field of infection prevention and control and applied epidemiology for all health settings.

APIC NENY Chapter 069 improves the health and safety of patients, employees, and members of the northeastern New York community by serving as the premier association for devising, communicating, and implementing scientific and evidence-based infection prevention and safety techniques.
