The purpose of APIC Arkansas is to advance, guide and support the delivery of safe, quality healthcare by utilizing evidence based epidemiological principals through the application of infection prevention management and practices throughout the continuum of healthcare settings.
APIC Arkansas holds two major conferences annually –spring and fall – providing attendees current infection prevention education and updates on a range of infection prevention topics. The chapter hosts monthly journal clubs in central Arkansas presenting members a forum to critically evaluate current infection prevention and control research and practice. Mentors are available to assist in the advancement of the profession and certification. We work in tandem with the Arkansas Department of Health and other local and regional agencies.
