About

The APIC Virginia Chapter 012 (APIC-VA) serves the Commonwealth of Virginia. This territory extends 42,000 square miles to include Winchester of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Jonesville of the Appalachian Mountains, east to Virginia Beach, and north to border Washington, DC. Our chapter serves a variety of urban, rural, industrial, and military communities.

APIC-VA members include nurses, physicians, technologists, public health administrators, military personnel, and others involved in infection control and epidemiology. Practice settings of our members vary and include acute care hospitals, sub-acute and rehabilitation facilities, care, home care, surgical centers, mental health, correctional facilities, industry, and public administration.

APIC-VA is a multi-disciplinary voluntary organization committed to mentorship of our members, support of best practices, and ultimately, improvement of the quality of health care throughout the continuum of our varied practices. If you are a healthcare or allied health professional with an interest in the advancement of the practice of infection control, APIC-VA welcomes your participation!
