Bio

Andrea Harper joined LRGHealthcare in February 2020. Her mission along with APIC: to create a safer world through prevention of infection. She takes pride in providing infection prevention for this not-for-profit healthcare charitable trust representing Lakes Region General Hospital (LRGH), Franklin Regional Hospital (FRH), 22 affiliated medical practices, and service programs which is  nestled in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Previously she has worked at both large and small hospitals in rural settings and inner city.  These included Dartmouth Hitchcock  an academic teaching hospital, 25 bed non profit critical access hospitals and was also the manager of infection prevention at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua NH which is part of the Covenant Health system. Her previous career was in laboratory science generalist/microbiology.
She is board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC),  Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. In addition to her love of microbiology/infection prevention she also enjoys teaching. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Manchester Community College. She has served on both the board of the New Hampshire infection control and epidemiology professionals (NHICEP) and as President for Association for Professionals in Infection Control New England Chapter (APIC NE).  Andrea is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) and New England College with a MS in Healthcare administration.​
