I am struggling with our infection surveillance of our surgical patients and cardiac cath/implant patients for infections post-operatively/procedure. Will any one share with me the methods you use to capture that information? For instance, do you contact the patient post procedure? What kind of questions do you ask? Do you rely on your data mining company? Do you get the information from your MD offices and if so, how?
